HQ's: Louisville, Kentucky

The company is telemarketing for advertising for employers that are seeking employees.

They hire the reps and tell them they have 30days to sell, if they don't they have to leave.

The reality is, not only do the reps have to dig for their own leads they must also put together an ad package to submit to the potential customer, then wait for the graphics dept. to get back to them with it to submit to the customer.  This could take up to 1 week but if that person does not sign off on it, for reasons like vacation, out of office or just can't get ahold of them.  The deal waits.

In the mean time with large ads with companies that may spend over 3,000 dollars for an employment ad that tend to take maybe 2 weeks sometimes longer for them to sign off on them, the rep that puts that deal together is out the door if it isn't signed in a 3 week period.

However, the contract in progress is still with JobnewsUSA.com and it gets taken by another rep who finishes it, getting the 10% that is paid to the rep.

This company is greed beyond GREED!  They make money off of the reps that do sell within 3 weeks and the ones they kick out the door that put well paying ads in their pipeline for someone else to finish.

There is a high turnover in this company but they don't care because they are making it on both ends.  And if a rep has 50k in the pipeline and doesn't get a sale in a 3 week period, they are out the door.

Lastly, the terrible thing is about this company is even if a rep has made 50K in a 3 or even 6mos period for them, if they don't make a sale in 3weeks, they're out the door!!!

They don't CARE!

Your Experience During Your Probationary Period

AUTHOR: Job News USA management - ()

POSTED: Sunday, October 27, 2013

Dear Mr. Dern,

As a senior manager with Job News USA, I am sorry to hear that your experience with the company was less than positive. Like most organizations, we work diligently to avoid surprises when making the difficult decision to let go of a sales trainee, such as in your situation. Our sales managers are trained to communicate clearly and openly with new trainees, so that the company's expectations are clear, and so that reps can seek additional training and support in areas where they are falling short of goals.

Our industry is highly competitive, as you know, so we do have clearly defined sales quotas for trainees as they develop into more experienced reps. When we make a new hire, it is only because we feel that the individual will be successful, and we work diligently, with an ongoing investment in that person, to help them meet our goals and their own. Over half of our national sales force is comprised of veteran account executives and managers who have made the most of this opportunity.

Selling at our organization is definitely a competitive role with a rewarding commission structure. As you're probably aware, many of our reps earn six-digit salaries and have great company benefits. Conversely, as in any competitive sales environment, some new hires find that this level of performance orientation does not suit them. In this situation, like the one you describe above, we work to clearly communicate the lack of proper fit between the rep and the requirements of maintaining stated performance goals.

If you feel that your termination from the company was unfair, I'd encourage you to reach out directly to further discuss the matter. Please call 502.412.7500 and ask for the human resources department. They will be able to assist you with your concerns and to engage the appropriate team managers.

I wish you the best of luck in the future. I hope you'll grow to feel that your experience at our company was beneficial for you, even is only because you realized that the opportunity was not a match with your desired work.
