I received an email from Joseph Chinnock early in the week asking if I'd be available to write some articles for his company. He said he got my name from another person in the writing industry. He wanted 25 articles by the end of the week - no problem there. He told me to start right away.

The next day, he emailed me and said to wait. He sent me a sample "SEO" article to go by, but there was nothing SEO about this article. Then he asked if I could do more than 25 by the end of the week. I said I probably could depending on when he wanted me to start. He said he'd call me on Thursday to give me the green light. In the meantime, he wanted me to sign a writer's agreement - standard practice.

The problem came when his "partner" emailed me the next morning and wanted me to sign an updated agreement. This agreement also had a place for my Social Security # and Date of Birth. I replied with an email saying I'd be happy to sign it as soon as he sent me a copy with his signature on the agreement. I also asked if he could tell me why he needed my SS # and DOB. Fairly simple question, I thought. He immediately replied with a simple "I don't this is going to work out. Thanks though."

That leads me to believe they are simply phishing for people's personal information. I went to the website they provided - it doesn't exist in any form - not .biz, .com, .net, .anything.

I should've known this was shady because when I first spoke with Joseph Chinnock, I asked if his company pays through Paypal. He said they used to but they couldn't afford to pay the fees anymore. Paypal only charges fees to the recipient in my experience. Then I found a report on here saying that he and his partner messed up someone's Paypal account by doing a chargeback.

I just now received an email from Mr. Cassaway insulting me with sarcasm, too. Nice business practices.

If either of these names contact you, run away as fast as you can!
