I am a disabled veteran living on a limited income. Before I bought this 2001 Chrysler van, I was told by Joe and his wife that they had put a rebuilt motor in with only 80,000 miles on the motor. I put 1200.00 down on the van and was going to finance the rest of 3500.00 We agreed and we drove off. The very next day the car was having problems so we returned it. Joe dad my car for a week and a half then we finally picked it up. We drove for approx 1.5 weeks and once again the van was having problems. I took the van back to him and requested a refund of my down payment. I haven;t had the car a month yet and he refused to give it back! He told me to give him a week or two and he would get me a better working car and hear we are two monthe later and all he does is ignore my phone calls and hides from me when I go up to his shop to confront him!  He told me that he never put a rebuilt motor in and there was no way in hell I was getting my hard earned money back! I was willing to work with him but he is simply ignoring me. I am in the process of filing a better business report on that business and in the process of saving 95.00 dollars to file a magistrate court claim on that business. I really need my money back because it is putting me out of food and utilities. I went behind to get the final 300.00 up so didnt pay a couple of bills to get my desperately needed car. I need help!
