First the bait...

John Beck Free & Clear infomercial that tells you how you can buy property(tax lien) for pennies on the dollar and that it is a sure fire way of going from rags to riches for only $42. plus shipping & handling. We took the bait and ordered the package over the phone 6/1/03.

Second the hook...
After waiting Five weeks for our get rich program & stll not having received it... we got a phone call from Rob Holdaway telling us that he got our tele# from John Beck and that we could be a 'success story' & could possibly be on the infomercial if we had the 'desire & willingness' to sign up for sure fire personal coaching lessons.

Third setting the hook...
They did a complete rundown of all our personal finances and then said we fit the profile for being a 'winner. We areed to a (I know a sucker is born every second) $5,289.00 package. It would take more words than allowed here to tell you about it. We took the first lesson and immediately cancelled 7/3/03... yes 4th of July weekend. We only talked to a machine, and our credit card cust.service. I was a bit pissed about the situation.

fourth cutting the line...
During the sign-up they said they were taping the conversation when it came to the $5,289.00 and being a 'smart sucker' I said "that's ok and by the way is it ok for ME to tape the conversation also?". They agreed and in the conversation they reluctantly said 'three days after the first coaching session'. They got us but we had them.

Getting our $5,289.00 Back...
Contacted our credit card disputed transaction dept. and faxed them all the info on the ripoffs. They liked the taped contract(ha)... with 45 days of tempered patience... we got all the money deducted from our card... and changed our card #.

The Lesson Learned...
If it's Too Good To Be True... It's probably not true. Beware of John Beck & P.M.I.(professional(ripoff) marketing international.
