skeptical about their company, how they come up with the figure $3500.00 to charge for some people like me no experience in real estate or you don't need a license. So far, I'm just to begin to star my 1st session tom. 7/25 with Lisa Hall. I tried to hide this to my husband but when he explained what he knows you need to be license otherwise you cant sell a property. The he type John Beck rip-off

I just want to continue what I have written above. He said to me I'm telling he's a rip-off, too many people complained and I guarantee you, you will never get your money back..He's a private investigator so he knows and try to explained to me. Now,I'm beginning to believe what I've seen what if I didn't make any money and continue what I have to do.

Will I lose my money I invested so far...? The way the advertisement said on TV sounds good to be true all those testimonial people, I wished I would like to meet John Beck bec. I really adore him in such a way he makes good money and more profits but HOW! How these people are mad with what I heard different stories all over US.

Please tell me what to do bec. I'm afraid I might be the next victim and I don't make money nothing since Sept. 11, our business slow down, no profits coming in in travel..

Anna marie,

They came up with the $3,500 price by asking you about your available credit card limit, finance, ect. before giving you a price. Keep reading other complaints on this site against Mentoring of America (these are the ones who do these 30 minute telephone coaching calls with you for the John Beck informercial)and you will find that other people have paid anywhere from $1,500 to over $15,000 for the same thing.

Why is this? Because they sell these weekly 30 minute coaching calls for the most they can on an idividual basis. It has no set price. They set the price according to your credit limit or finance, and won't give refund. They cheated me for over $7,000. Why did you get the same thing I got but for only half the price I paid? Do you see how this works? It's fraud.

Did you know that just recently Mentoring of America got sued again for the third time? It's been on the news too. Your husband the private investigator, can research and verify this as fact for himself. It's not hype or some BS that I am making up, it's true and it's real. They continue to violate consumer protection laws, and now the state of Utah is taking legal action against them. They are helping people get their money back.

You asked if you will loose the money you invested so far.

The answer to that is you already have. They authorized the charge the day you gave them your credit card info and got off the phone with you after you decided to enroll. If you where to call them back tomorrow wanting to cancel and be refunded, even before your first scheduled training call takes place, they won't let you, or they won't answer the phone, absolutely guaranteed. They are going to turn you down and tell you that all sales are final, and that there is no way you can get your money back no matter what. They will tell you to just go through the calls, and make your money back that way. They might offer to assign you a new coach, or temporarily stop your training calls untill you want to resume, but that's really about it. They are nasty on the phone when you want a refund. They are heartless.

I've been down this road like many other people on this site have. After much time, work, and effort, I was able to get Mentoring of America to send me a hand signed refund agreement for 100% of the price. They mailed it overnight delivery. They did this immediately after I discovered and filed the consumer complaint form linked below against them, and turned it in to the Utah Divison of Consumer Protection, who is taking legal action against them for violating consumer protection right.

Make sure to staple a copy of the "Enrollment Confirmation" page they sent you to sign and return back to them, if you still have it. If you have not yet signed it, DO NOT sign it and do not lose it. This page has the price and method of payment you used on it, as well as their business adress, phone number, as a breakdown of what you got in you package for that price.

My advice to you:

I urge you to get a tape recorder, a non cordless phone, and start to record your training calls, and any phone conversations you have with their people if you call trying to cancel and get a refund. They are nasty on the phone about refunds. After the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd of your coaching calls when you realize you have been cheated into paying thousands for public general knowledge that you could have found for free using google, and give you a bunch of websites to go to that are free to the public, you are going to want your money back. They are not going to want to give it to you. When this happens, call them for a refund and record the conversation on tape. It is crucial that you do this. Record the conversation. Then file the complaint form above, and also send in any phone conversations that you may have recorded along with it.

The person who is your coach, that they led you to believe is a knowledgeable, experienced, successfull, real estate professional, is really just a regular person, an employee who got hired by Mentoring of America by answering one of their help wanted ads they have running in their local Utah newspapers, advertising jobs to work helping real estate clients over the phone, get paid less than $60K a year, drive to work, have a boss, probably did not have any prior experience in real estate, follows a training call curriculum instead to teach you, and does not work from home or make a six figure income themselves like they are supposed to be teaching you how to do.

Folks,

They tell you that you are going to be taught by either John Beck himself of one of his trained knowledgeable, experienced, succesfull professinals ect.

Do you honestly believe any successfull, knowledgeable, experienced real estate professonal who knows all about real estate and how to make six figure incomes with it working from home is going to be answering a help wanted ad in the local newspaper, drive to work only toto work for a company that pays them $60k or less a year, will have a boss, and reveal to you his secrets for a modest wage? Of course not.

That's the rip off here. You are lead to pay thousands for a coach who is not really what they lead you to belive he/she is, give you a bunch of free public websites to go to, and give you mostly free, general public knowledge anyone can find online or the library for free in their coaching calls.

I have my calls recorded on tape, I can prove this.
