Responded to an ad in my local Clipper Magazine classified section. The ad promised $1380 weekly for stuffing envelopes plus a $690 bonus. The ad read as follows: $1380 weekly. Stuff envelopes. FT/PT, $690 Bonus, $2070 total. All qualify. Legitimate. Honest employment. $50 hiring bonus. Written Guarantee. 1-800-574-4214. This ad appeared in the Help Wanted section of the classified area of Clipper Magazine New Orleans/West Bank edition, February/March 2003. Received 2 envelopes both with the same contents. Contained a 3 page description of the offer with a signed guarantee from the supposed president of the company, plus a picture of him and a picture of the hiring director. A request of $25.00 in the Form of MONEY ORDER ONLY! to defray shipping cost was on the application with a promise of it being refunded tripled $75.00. There was a hotline number to call for more information, which I did and a man described the offer in detail. The number is: 1-212-615-6424. Judging from all of the bad reports these guys have on this forum, I'm sure glad I did not send them a dime! Any of you out there who have seen this ad in the New Orleans/West Bank area do not even bother to call the number. These guys apparently are Scam Artists who simply keep your money and send you nothing. This sort of thing infuriates me since the people responding to this ad are usually in need.
