John Malopsy introduced himself to me as an associate of a person who had interviewed me for a position in the summer of 2016.

He is the owner of a company named South West POS Technologies located in San Diego, CA.

He told me that he was interested in having someone call to set in person appointments as well as web demonstrations for him. His company is a reseller of Harbor Touch Point of Sale systems.

In need of extra income, I decided to give it a try.  We had verbally agreed to $15.00 hourly.

I did get him appointments with people. I never found out what became of any of them although I'm sure John would never have paid the commissions he promised me if they had signed on with him.

John did pay me last year for my time on the phone although my hours were few.

Things tapered off when I took on a full time job and nothing seemed to be happening with the appointments I was setting.

Then, this past July John contacted me via e.mail asking me if I was interested in making calls for him again.

I stayed in touch with him and called him back in September to resume appointment setting.

We agreed verabally on a set hourly pay of $15.00 over the phone. Again and were supposed to discuss possible commissions.  So much for that.

After my first 8 hours spent over two weeks, I e.mailed John my hours just as he had asked me to and expected to be paid.

After a few days of not being paid I called John to ask what might be happening. He told me that his bank was verifying my bank account and that for some reason it was taking more time than usual.

This went on for about a week.

Meanwhile I continued to work. Shame on me. I put in between 20 to 30 hours of calling time for him and I never got paid for any of it.

The evidence I have are calling lists he sent me, our e.mail discussions about how I would be paid and my own phone records.

I am writing this to make sure John doesn't try to take advantage of anyone else.

This man cannot be trusted and could be looking for his next victim.

I attempted to call john numerous times to ask about my pay and he simply either hung up on me or never answered.

Don't allow this man to take advantage of you as he did me. Although I do have the e.mails we exchanged discussing my pay, I have very little recourse in attempting to be compensated.
