A young girl approached my family and I as we were at a kids day event at the PNC art center in NJ on Oct 11,2008. She said she works for a talent agency and they are doing a raffle. She said all we had to do was fill out my childs name and age, my name and phone #. And if we get selected we will be called, it didnt cost nothing so my sister and I filled out a card. I recieved a call on Oct. 14,2008 from a woman named Kendra, she told me my daughter has been choosen to come for and interview. I asked her how much it cost and she told me it didnt cost anything, so I booked an appt. and called my Mom. Thank god I did because she told me to check it out first just to be safe and if everything comes up clean she would come with us. That is how I found this site. I just figured that I would let everyone here who has been scammed where this company is at right now and the info. I got. Maybe it could be of some help
The # they gave me is 973-251-9316
The address is 615 Main St.- Boonton, NJ 07005
I was told if I had any questions to call back and ask for Kendra.
I hope this info. will help someone out!

Not all John Robert Powers are a scam. I am with John Robert Powers Minneapolis and it is the best thing I have ever been involved in. Sure I had to pay for it but it's worth it. Our two instructors are amazing and the people who run it are even more amazing. The owner and VP have made my acting life so great. I get to fly back to fly back to LA in February for a callback with an agency. John Robert Powers are not all the same. So don't bash every John Robert Powers. K? Thanks.

The definition of the word SCAM is:
A fraudulent business scheme; a swindle: taking monies without proving services as promised
A fraudulent business scheme; a swindle: taking monies without proving services as promised
Not all JRP's are owned by the same people. There are good ones out there JRP MPLS is a GREAT ONE.
Did you have to pay for the audition? NO
Did you pay JRP anything? So how are they a SCAM?????
SCAM the most loosely used word in the English language. PEOPLE GET OVER THIS WORD AND IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE IT DO IT CORRECTLY!!!!!!!!!

What exactly is the rip-off?
Was money given to them based on a promise, and they didn't deliver?
