Johnson Designs Glen Johnson Dawn Arnold Does not complete contracting job. Aurora, Colorado

Glen Johnson (Johnson Designs) was hired to build a deck on the front of my house.  Requested payment upfront, he needed the money to move his family.  Being a good christian and having faith in my fellow man (and knowing his wife and 4 kids) i paid him upfront (I will never do that again).  The job completion was set for July 16th. 

Well it is now September 20th and my job is still not complete and he doesn't answer my calls. He promises to come over on a specific day, then has many excuses on why he did not show up.  I gave him access to my garage for power and access to my table saw.  Another mistake, now I have tools missing. 

He also has a job at my inlaws, their job started in June and is still not complete and it was a five day job.  Another job at my neighbor's house, started in May and is still not complete.  Their jobs the wood is bubbling since the jobs were not completed in the time specific the weather has had its effects on the wood, now there is more work to do.  (Also, paid up front - for some sob story or another - you just wanted to help the kids)

Is he licensed - no, does he say he registed his company - yes, does he sign a contract - yes (but it does no good) He is only in it for your money.

Never hire this man/company - he promises everything, but cannot deliver anything. He has an excuse for everything and will take things without asking.  If you ever run into him just say NO.
