I ordered VOIP telephone lines through JoiPhone in May 2007. They offered and still offers on their site, 30-Day Money Back Guarantee. Their 30-Day starts on the day you order not when you receive their Adapter which arrived in 2 weeks or so. Meantime, 30-Day period starts ticking and you have no phone service for you don't have their Adapter. JoiPhone could not get my phone to work after I received their Adapter. Spent over a week to talk to the tech dept and I finally had it and cancelled the service on the 29th day from the day I ordered. I sent the Adapter back on that day via FedEx.
They charge the service in advance. I paid $441.45 for 2 years of service in advance. Per agreement, they take $14.95 out for S & H which was fine with me but took another $65.16 telling me and my credit card company the lies after lies stating that I kept the service for 2 months, and that I used the service for another 15 days and also said I requested them to keep the acccount active so I can transfer the phone # to other phone provider. That's all lies!
The fact is I returned their Adapter on the 29th day and they approved it. I have a receipt from the FedEx showing that I sent it on the day I cancelled it. When I confronted how I could use their phone service without their Adapter, they said I transferred it to another line. When I asked how do you transfer? They could not answer me.
After making several phone calls, I realized I was scammed. I disputed with my credit card company for over 6 months sending my evidence. JoiPhone sent a letter to my credit card company with lies.
JoiPhone is rated F by BBB (Better Business Bureau). My experience with the JoiPhone has always been very positive. Any technical issues have always been addressed in an professional and timely manner. I especially like to point out one of their tech support person named "Adam". I had some technical challenging issues - multiple Joiphones and accounts. Adam bent over backwards to resolve the various issues we had.
I can only but recommend JoiPhone to everyone. I have 3 different friends that have their service since last already and all of them are very happy with JoiPhone.

The customer placed the JoiPhone adapter behind his router which blocked some of JoiPhone service from working. The customer was asked by JoiPhone technical support to put his PPPoE (DSL user name and password) on the JoiPhone adapter and place the JoiPhone adapter ahead of the of his other router. The customer did not answer to emails nor voice mails.
The customer number moved from Packet8 to JoiPhone on 05/30/07
On June 19th the customer stated he want to cancel service, instead of working with support to resolve his issues. Even though the customer signed a 2 year contract with JoiPhone, JoiPhone did refund all the customer money including Activation fee and service fees. The only money not refunded was the 2 month of service the customer used the service.

I ordered Joiphone thru their site on Aug. 2007.
I received the modem on the following day, connected it to the internet and my phone and have used it since then without any problem.
I recommended their service to many of my friends and relatives and have heard no complaints.
