Our phone service was working fine last evening. But today joiphone has fallen off the planet. My service stopped, their website appears to have disappeared a couple days ago. They do not answer their phones. Even the www.hawkvoip.com site is gone. I prepaid for 2 years of service for 2 phone lines. I got 7 months. I do not even know if I can port my phone number which we have had for 20 years as they appear to have taken the money and run. Does anybody know how to reach them? Has anybody heard what the situation is? I can just say they appear to be gone altogether without warning or fulfilling their contract. It would be helpful if anybody can find their website in your internet cache. They have taken away much of the evidence of their existence.
In the past they did answer the phone and I had so so tech support. I did not realize until today that their router was responsible for cutting my ISP speed in half as it limits ISP speed to 5 kbps. The good news is that my internet speed is not faster. The bad news is that I need a new telephone provider and may have trouble getting my phone number ported.

Joiphone is Back up

I guess I was just too impatient. Thier service came back on line and thier website is back up. It was down for about 12 hours and strange that the entire service and name dissappeared. I am glad they are back but have to admit that the service outage was un-announced and un-explained.
I called thier support phone number and a message said they had a service interuption on saturday and that all is back up now.
I also tested my ISP speed through thier Lynksys spa-2102-a voip Adapter/Router. It is close to my origional speed. So my complaint is no longer accurate and I wish I could retract it but that is not possible. Thank you.
