Jon Oswell built a house located in Lake Elsinore Ca in 2007. It was discovered after completion that he built this house during a time when his CA Contractors License was expired. During the time he built this house he applied for an owner builder permit and violated, and continued to violate. He hired unlicensed contractors (his friends). This house was never waterproofed. Roof, walls, windows, doors all allow water to enter. Major foundation problems and major concrete problems. After construction was complete he reinstated his Ca contractors license with was first active in 2003. A thorough investigation was done by the California State Licensing Board. A full report was completed with repairs in the thousands of dollars and this was just a few months after construction was complete. Disciplinary actions were filed against him but it was determined because his contractors license was expired at the time of his violations and he had used owner builder permits when these violations where made, there was nothing they could do. His disciplinary actions were erased and complaint closed. Now he is allowed to continue to deceive consumers. He clearly does not know what he is doing as a contractor.
