Jonathan Gray Advantage Landscaping LLC in Orrick, MO Landscaper and tree trimmer who is ripping off the elderly Orrick Missouri

On January 22nd, 2015, Jonathan Gray of Advantage Landscaping (Knicknamed "Take Advantage" of elderly people) solicited my mother-in-law in St. Joseph, Mo to remove yard moles.

As of today, he's charged her $5,300 and the moles are still there. We just called another service to take care of the problem. This is a very shady operation and I encourage everyone to stay away from these scammers.

Having seen how Jonathan Gray operates, I'm beginning to find others who have experienced the same style of rip-off. He seems to solicits old people, preforms shoddy service (at best), does not complete the job and gouges the customers with extremely high prices. 

In one case, a customers asked to see his license and proof of insurance to remove some trees. He said "Mr. Gray just tuned and walked away". Hmmmm. 

What's particularly upsetting in our case is my mother-in-law is beginning to show early signs of Alzheimer’s and it appears he took advantage of that situation and jacked the price up. 

My wife had called Mr. Gray in January of 2015 after seeing the $3,000 check written to him personally and warned under no circumstances should he ever contact her mother again. We visited St. Joseph over mother’s day and I surveyed the property. I saw one of the traps had the “Red Pop-up button” triggered. I called to pass along that information, as per thier instructions. 

We were stunned to learn this time, they had Mr. James Coleman go to the door, he said I called and instruct them to perform additional work and asked for another $2,300. She gladly wrote the check to James Coleman personally, not the LLC.  

Like I said, we are contacting a reputable company to remove the moles after these clowns stole $5,300 from a senior citizen they view as ATM machines. A few others who have experienced their awesome work.

And based on getting the word out, this email came into me on YELP.

“My 90 year old grandma got taken for $4,800 yesterday. I am trying to get more info on these guys. I want to try and stop them from taking advantage of the elderly. If there is anything that you can add please let me know. I am searching for lawyers. Thank you for taking the time to read this.”
