Joseph Petro Attorney - Joseph Petro Incompetent Attorney Los Angeles California

I originally gave Joseph Petro a 10k retainer fee to start a contract for the sale of my California Business. Well, 2 weeks went by and I hadn't heard from him so I decided to see what was up and called him and he said " Sorry, I was out of town, I will start working on it tomorrow". I was Very Upset, I thought when I called he would say he's wrapping it up, at least the first draft. Another week went by and after Mr. Petro didn't call yet or Email, I left a Very Harsh Voicemail. He finally called and said he was finishing up my Contract but got side tracked on a deal he has been working on for weeks. 

I then called the Buyer and told him I should have the contract ready any day and he said "oh ok, I'm on my way to Vegas for a few days for a Trade Show, I'll call ya when I get back. Well, here's when it all went south. The buyer after coming back from the trade show wanted to hold off for a week or so to check something out. (another business possibly). Joseph Petro 5 weeks after I gave him the retainer fee said he finally had something to go over. I immediately called the buyer and left messages and after a few days he got back to me and said he was going to go in another direction.. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I could not believe what was happening. Joseph Petro said when I first talked to him he will bang out a first draft in a few days so the Buyer said that will work. 

So now I lost the Buyer completely, i had a contract that was over a month late causing the Buyer to Pass on the deal. Because Joseph Petro put my deal on the Backburner when he promised to get the first draft done in a couple days max. Now I was fighting with my so called attorney Joseph Petro and he refunded only 3500 dollars out of the 10,000 retainer. So now I was Ripped Off for 6500 bucks.

There are thousands of Attorneys in Los Angeles and I got one of the Lazy Incompetent one's and now I'm out 6500 bucks and a LOT of Stress.
