Josh Martinez Consumer Base, LLC. Sold my personal information as part of an information list incorrectly asscociated with bad debt / credit issues. Evenston, Illinois

Josh Martinez of ConsumerBase LLC. sold my name, address, and who knows what else to an attorney in Cumming, GA as part of a list intended for advertising purposes associated with bad debt. Upon receiving an offer for legal assistance with bad debt from the attorney, I called to inquire as I was surprised to be on any lists related to bad credit or debts. The attorney said that Martinez sold him a list that contained few if any individuals with actual debt problems and most likely involved no research whatsoever. Upon calling Martinez to request that my name be disassociated with any such lists, he was immediately defensive and belligerent, becoming condescending and hostile before hanging up on me. I'm sure there are laws to protect unscrupulous sales agencies and individuals who misuse your personal information in this manner, but I would not recommend buying any marketing lists from Martin (or from ConsumerBase.com if they stand behind his actions) if you want to use them to make money.
