Joshua Blank is one of the few men in America that hires people, like myself an innocent Graphic Designer, without any plans to pay for work completed. I believe his words would be that he was giving me a chance to get my name out there and complete additional potential portfolio pieces.
I was re-reading the E-mail that he had sent to me about how funds would be generated from the launch of the website. This is all great in theory but what kind of person hires people to do work for them and then replies, "well i can't pay you just yet..."
This really doesn't fly in the real world. If you do not have the money to pay people to be hired then do not hire them in the first place. I also understand that this agreement was "amongst friends" but that doesn't give Joshua Blank the right to with hold payment because I have completed all the work that was agreed upon. I believe that even the amount he agreed to pay can still be filed as a police report and then taken to small claims court.
It's been since August 22 when Joshua Blank said that this website would launch. So I cannot even imagine how long it will take him to generate "funds." I'm really feeling like Joshua Blank are just jerking me around here.
To add another slap in my face his so called "web designer" posted the logo on Stylist Stalker.com's myspace page. God knows where else the logo has appeared, so I flat out told Joshua blank to refrain from using it until "funds" are gathered to pay me with.
Unfortunately Joshua blank who is currently doing business in Las Vegas, NV you have really put me in a very uncomfortable position...

Michelle is my ex-wife's sister. The agreement was for her to create a logo and if/when I used it, I would pay an agreed upon amount. The site was never launched. Look it up. Doesn't exsist.
The logo design was also a competition between Michelle Ferenz and other designers. Whoever's was chosen and used would be paid for the work. This is completely normal and common. Michelle is a novice and doesn't work professionally as a designer so she probably doesn't know that.
No small-claims case was made, because there is no case to be made.
This runs in the family. Her sister tried to sue me for more money nearly 3 years after the divorce was final. I believe they even conspired to try and take more of my money.
Michelle's work was beginner level at best and is not being used for anything.
