jp hauffman and associates called said owed money for phone bill California

Recieved call stating I owed a phone bill. Was for a time frame we did not have a land line phone. Promised letter stating debt was fullfilled. Never recieved. They had my name and last four of my social security number, like a idiot i paid the bill thinking i was being responsible. Guess they got me. Bank is looking into it as a fraudulent charge because I used my debit card can not stop payment. 

ugh. See never answer the phone for unknown numbers..Besides that when i called the number back claiming i had a complaint filed against me it was MAJIK JACK with no voice mail.......can we say red flag? There is a law firm with the same name but these peopel are not affiliated with them. :( cross my fingers and hope that the bank can recoup my money. Never again. Take me to court.
