JSM touts a 90 day warranty on their sales page at amazon.com. No mention at all that this is a limited warranty or that the unlimited warranty they offer is only 30 days long. If this isn't dishonest, it's at least intentionally misleading.
As far as their products, I ordered a refurbished laptop from JSM Computers and used it just three times before the screen went dark. It had been sitting on a shelf for a few months after my initial test drive so the seller, JSM Computers, wouldn't fix it for free or provide a refund because the warranty had expired.
Normally, I'd never ask for an exception, but c'mon. The laptop was clearly defective when it shipped. I'd used it THREE times before it failed. Technically they were within their rights to refuse to fix the problem, but basically they shipped a defective machine and decided to not take full responsibility for it.
Their solution was to for me to pay for shipping the laptop across the country to them and also pay for the parts while they provided free labor.
This was to fix an unknown problem that existed on the machine before it ever got to me. What if the parts were half or more of the cost of the laptop? I guess I would just be out of luck.
Bottom line: Some companies do the right thing when they screw up. JSM Computers doesn't.

My Wife purchased a dual monitor[fully referbished] Dell system. It worked great upon arrival, the problem was that one of the monitors was constantly had a "Purple" hue. I tried every change in setting. No Avail! I tried Software/Windows settings..Same. Switched plugs, same monitor. I called them and reported my trouble.
They said they will send a replacement cord, I informed them that I had already tried switching. They emailed a fully paid shipping form, and promised a equal model/working monitor. I give them time to do so, and I will post outcome, I think they will stick to thier word. I have dealt with bad companies on-line before, and know appropriate actions. CD

Our Warranty goes beyond others

Like most companies we must put a cap on the Warranty period but we try to give an extended period just in case there is an issue. Used electronics normally comes with just a 30 day warranty, even eBay and Amazon states that. We go beyond and offer 90 days or 3 times above the standard practice. If a customer doesn't make any contact with-in that time frame we do stand firm on our policy. Any major retail outlet (Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, etc.) you will get the same policy, after x-days they will not take an item back.
All our items go through multiple tests and are fully inspected before it’s signed off by a trained technician. We do this to ensure there won't be issues as returns are costly. We have to cap a Warranty at some point and by giving three times the amount we believe that is beyond fair.
