JT Card Services aka First Lenders ripoff dirty ripoff liars Jax Florida

On November 24, 2001 I was contacted by a company stating they were First Lenders and I had been approved to receive a credit card with a $2,500 credit limit. My checking account was debited that day for $159.95 + $14.95 Shipping and handling. I was supposed to get a certificate for $100 in free gas with the card. The card they told me would arrive in 4-6 weeks, and I received 2 confirmation numbers, which I have.

I tried to call the company on January 16, with no avail, but did get a recording with an email address, that was Cardservices@first-lenders.com, I emailed on the 16th just to check the status. I received a response saying my card was mailed but they didn't know when. They gave me an address and said I could write a letter to them, to see when. I mailed the letter on January 17th (Still no response).

On Febuary 8, I still had not heard anything or received the card, I again emailed asking for the name or number for a supervisor (the one time someone answered the phone I was told their computers were down). I received a response back on Febuary 11 saying that my card was not sent, they had vender problems, but it would be mailed in a few days. I was also given a new number 877-876-7890 to contact if I had any questions. Guess what, the line is always busy, never get through, and the email address I had now comes back undeliverable.

Now it is March 21, 4 months into the whole ordeal. No card, no help, and down $159.95 + 14.95 shipping and handling, and of course no free gas.

Is there anything I can do to remedy this situation? Please tell me I am not the only that fell for the ploy!!!
