Juke box Print offers good prices, but THE WORST customer service. I have a small business and have done a lot of printing including business cards, fabric tags, hang tags, and stickers, with a variety of print shops in Canada and the US. Essentially, Juke Box are only friendly to you if you have a standard question and can quickly answer your question to wrangle your business. The first time I printed something, the die-cutting was off for a number of the pieces causing the printed image to be off-center. I wrote a comment/mild complaint and never got a response. I wasn't too bothered with this and just let it go. This
was one year ago.
This year, I (foolishly) went to order the product again (hang tags). They raised the prices, which I understand and had no problem with. However, they are now tacking on $50 more for drill holes. On their website, it clearly states that "Our hang tags come with holes pre-drilled, ready for attaching to your product." To me, this means that the product comes with drill holes right? Wrong. I called Juke Box to ask them about this added cost (which I did not pay last time), and they said they have always charged this extra fee (yeah, right. that's not what my receipt says). I also read to them the part of their website that says drill holes come with hang tags, and the person told me some do, and some don't. I asked how am i supposed to
know which ones come with drill holes, and which ones don't?...and where on the price list does it state that they will add $50? Well, the answer is, it doesn't state it anywhere. So essentially Juke Box is misrepresenting their products and prices.
The kicker is when the person told me that advertised prices for all products always have fine-print-string-attached policies, and that I should read the fine print. I replied, 'there is no fine print'. She answered, 'well, i didn't mean literally.". Okay, so did you mean that I should read your figurative, imaginary fine print?.
In the end, the JukeBox rep. pretty much told me that if I don't like them tacking on $50, then 'I don't have to buy from them'...which I translate as 'get lost, we don't need your business.'
When it comes down to it, Juke Box Print Shop are a bunch of liars and thieves who advertise a price and don't honor it. Their bottom line is to make a buck, and they have no pride in the quality of their workmanship, nor with the quality of care that
they offer their customers. If I were you, I'd stay away from this place. Especially if you are someone who values mutual respect, strong business relationships, and of course, a good quality product that meets your expectations.
