Juno Online Services, United Online ripoff. Network has ghosting problem and times out and disconnects during periods of activity. Company provides crappy service. Nationwide

For the past eight months I have complained to Juno Online at Large about a network ghosting problem. This is a problem that manifests itself when I try to log on and use webmail.

Problem is characterized by a "timeout message" that appears during the logon and disappears by itself as the log on progresses. In addition, the messages appears and disappears while trying to read each and every single e-mail message in webmail. I have complained to Juno for the past eight months and they have been evasive and have failed to respond to my complaints. They said that the problem is on my side and perhaps a connection problem.

Their CEO Mark Goldston is a cheap skate who won't spend a single penny on maintaining his network. He uses people in India who don't speak English to provide tech support and has one of the most brokendown networks on the net.

I once called their tech support and requested help because I was not able to get another e-mail address through the online automated process and some guy in India advised me that they only give out one e-mail address and that it can't be changed and that I must keep the same e-mail address for life.

Over a week ago, their network developed another problem where you can't even download. The network either goes dead or times out when activity is being performed on the net.

I have a paid account with Juno since the year 2000 and have watched how the company has gone down hill consitantly for the past five years. Juno and United Online appear to be similar to Enron. United Online is the largest and most crooked and corrupt ISP in the nation. Definitely not a company worth spending money on. Anyone can do better than these bums.
