Just Breaks ripoff Charge for unautorized work ripoff business from hell Katy Texas

I took my car into Just Breaks Store #110 in Katy, Texas and signed for them to "to inspect only", which under that agreement no expenses would be incurred. I left a pager number for them to call me in the event I was not home for them to let me know their findings upon "inspection".

I was paged and when I returned the page the manager said that it would cost me approximately $500.00 for repairs. I informed him not to do any type of work and that my husband and I would pick the car up early Satruday morning and take it to our mechanic.

I did notice that there was a lady in whose daughter had brought in her car (she was a teen) and when the mom came to pick up the car, the charge was three times (3x) the amount. A red flag should have gone up for me!!!

After ariving there around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, my husband and I found my car up on the rack, with the wheels and brakes dismanteled. The mechanic gave us the show and tell act as to was was needed and again, we said, "do not do any work on it, put it back together, we will be taking it to our machanic. The said they would put it back together and we could pick it up in one hour. Upon returning, we were presented with a bill for $110.05. We have called Just Brakes to report this incident with no response from them after leaving voice messages on the following 4/22/02.

Now, we have received a letter stating that Just Brakes will be turning us over to a collection agency for payment. We have the parts removed by our mechanic to return to Just Brakes but this will not be done until we receive some type of response from them regarding my call or the letter we have written to them.

As you can see, these people had every intention of ripping me off and they are still trying to do it. I am refusing to pay and I plan to fight this because I never signed an authorization of work to be done and had told them several time to not to do the work.

If you need brakes...I suggest you walk before you allow Just Brakes to even touch your car!!! Bypass these fools because they are true con artists!!!!
