Just Energy(Commerce Energy in CA) Commerce Energy aka Just Energy customer service said he canceled but didn't San Francisco Bay Area California

Commerce Energy sales representative came to my door and my mother answered(73yo) and told my mother they were there on behalf of PG&E my current gas service provider saying we need to sign up for a rate increase freeze protection, but in reality they are Just Energy trying to get us to change service to them. In short I did sign, but read contract after(my fault), and there isn't any savings(only 3 month 5% lower then my current rate) after the first year they can raise rate upto 10%, every year after.  So that the first scam(misleading and deceiving that they are with current gas provider and they will save you on you gas bill, but only for 3 months; but in reality you are stuck in a 5yr contract  that can increase upto 10% above their so called rate cap a year, and that isn't a cap if they can raise it 10%  a year for 5 years). So if you read the contract oppose to the sales reps claims of a cap, there isn't a cap because it can raise 10% a year.

Second scam is when I called to cancel, the customer service person said I am canceled.  I didn't feel confident the customer service agent(in his voice he didn't sound honest in what he did if that makes sense to anybody else) cancelled my agreement(because it seemed to fast, I called gave him my phone # and just like that he said I was cancelled).  So I made sure and called back a few days later and guess what? The customer service agent I spoke with said I was not cancelled, and for her to cancel she needed to input a request to cancel in the computer which took a few minutes, unlike the first person I talked with it was like this-I said I want to cancel, he asked for my home#and that was it, he said  I was cancelled then I said thanks then hung up.

I am glad I made sure that my agreement was cancelled, the second cs agent sounded like one, for the fact she was all happy, and sounded like she wanted to help, unlike the first cs agent, he sounded all unenthusiastic and shady which is why I made sure by calling the second time.

So stay away from Just Energy(aka Commerce Energy), they are misleading and deceiving in their claims of being with current gas provider, and claims of saving you money from a gas rate increase, by signing a rate increase protection agreement that is in reality a agreement for you to transfer services to them.
