We had a new roof installed in 2011 and our contractor told us that he did not work on gutters. In 2014, due to the hard winter our gutters began leaking so wethat I did not jump  contacted a place called Just Gutters NYC thinking that they were gutter specialists. The guys arrived and gave me an estimate of $950 to rpair my gutters. They began work that day. When they completed work I paid them and they then told me that their boss John Kot would speak to me the next day. He was to arrive at 9am.

The next day he arrived at 11 am and since he was so late I was in the shower when he arrived. He immediately went onto my roof and started nosing around. When I came downstairs he began by saying that my previous roofer had really screwed up my roof and it would require $2000 of repairs immediately. I was suspicious because he gave me a business card for Diamond contracting NYC, not Just Gutters NYC. I told him I would think about it. He seemed somewhat agitated that I did not jump at the chance to correct the problems. He said that this had to be done ASAP because a storm was expected he had taken 4 months earlier for advertising purposes. In the new photos he showed me a dammaged area that could not be caused by the weather. he repaired the roof free of charge.Sunday night. It made no sense since we had no leaks the roof was not as bad as he made it sound. He finally left.

I called my original roofer and told him the story, he could not beleive it. We arranged to have him check the roof in a week. A couple of days later we had a slight rain storm and we noticed our gutters leaking as badly as they had before. The repairs to the gutters had been useless.

I called John Kot on 3/13 to tell him that he had to fix the gutters and he told me the following:

1-He had called me 6 times and I had not returned his calls. This was a complete lie.

2-The gutters were leaking due to the poor job our roofer had done 2 years before.

3- he ws not going to repair the gutters and I was trying to get free work from him.

When my roofer came over he went onto my roof and took pictures and compared them to pictures that he had taken 4 months earlier for advertising purposes. he showed me a dammaged area that could not have been caused by the weather! John Kot intentionallly dammaged my roof to get the job to fix it!

I have since learned that John Kot and his associated have had a 7.7 million dollar judgement against them in NJ and are not permitted to do business in NJ. Google John Kot and you will see the details for yourself.

DO NOT GET FOOLED! If someone introduces himself as John Kot or John Luciano and reeks of cheap perfume do n ot allow him on your property otherwise you will regret it.
