I bought a new washing machine from jwcelectronics.com on June 7th, 2010.  One week later they finally shipped it after I sent several e-mails that they didn't respond to until a week later.  They shipped the item through YRC when they claimed that they would ship it through UPS or FedEx.  The package that the YRC representative left at the bottom of our steps telling my 9 month pregnant wife she would have to carry it up appeared to only be slightly roughed up from regular transit.  After I came home and brought the package up we opened it up and found one of the corners greatly crushed in.  The washer was utterly useless.  It appeared that it had been dropped off of a forklift and ran into by a car and then repackaged.

I contacted JWC concerning this issue.  After waiting several days in response to e-mails (they do not have a listed phone number, only a fax number which they do not respond to anything) they continually wrote back in very poorly, hard to understand messages and essentially stated that we now own the package since we excepted it.

I then tried to file a claim with the shipping company YRC, but they denied the claim because it appears that JWC simply sent damaged merchandise.  JWC said they tried to get the washing machine manufacture to replace the item, which made no sense, and offered to send replacement parts.  I sent pictures several times to show them that the washer had been too badly damaged to even attempt repair.

Almost 2 months later they finally said we could ship back the item and they would offer an exchange or return.  They made us pay $40 for a call tag which took them over a week to have sent to us.  I had to remind them to send it to us and they claimed that the shipping company must have lost the first one.

We finally got to send the washer back and asked for a full refund because we did not want to give business to this company that obviously is set out to rip people off.  Sadly I later found all sorts of similar reports and very poor feedback about JWC Electronics after the fact.  After they had received my return I sent a few e-mails to see when they might refund my money.  A week later they only refunded me $223.99 when I had paid a total of $306.59.  This means they still owe me $82.60 and they made me pay $40 to ship back the washer.  I was ripped off $122.60 and still have no washer and no justice.
