I recently used this company to have some work done on a 1994 Chevrolet Suburban. They were recommended to me by another repair shop.

I went in to have the front end aligned on my vehicle. James, after some time told me that they were unable to do this becasue my steering gear box needed replaced and gave me a laundry list of things that were wrong and needed repaired immediately for safety reasons. It was a considerable amount of money and they needed to make an appointment to get it in to get the work done. I agreed and we made the appointment. 

One of the of things James recommended was that the manifold gaskets was leaking coolant. I chose not to have this work done becasue of the expense and James said that I should keep an eye on this and that the serpentine belt and tensioner needed replaced. I was concerned about this. Becasue I knew that I had changed the belt recently. So after getting $1400.00 worth of work done. They wanted to do additional work. 

I then took my vehicle to get a second opinion. I was told that the serpentine belt did not need replaced and that there was no leak from the intake manifold. I was also told that this is a common problem on the engine that is in my suburban. But that there was no leak at this time.

Bottom line is. James recommended work that did not need to be done now. This is a common practice of auto service companies. They hope that you are to stupid to get a second opinion, or just tell them to do the work. This constitutes fraud.

I must also say that I had talked with Greg about being able to buy my own parts for a tune up. (spark plugs, wires, distibuter cap and rotor) and be charged only for the time that it took to replace these parts. He agreed to this. But when I picked up my vehicle thay had charged my for 3 hours, instead of the approximately one hour that it took them to do this. I was given a $70.00 discount. But this does not come close to the extra time that I was charged. I also had a $25.00 gift certificate and Greg refused to honor this. Saying that they had already given me more than the gift certificate was worth.

So the bottom line is. They recommended work that did not need to be done. Agreed to charge me only for the time it took to install some parts. Then charged me 3 times what it took to do the work and failed to honor a gift certificate. I did recieve a $5 gift card to Starbucks. OOOOOOOOOO-AAAAAAAAHH

I recommend that if you do take your vehicle here. Refuse to work with Greg or James and get a second opinion before you have any work done. Or, better yet,  just find a reputable company to have the work done and do not use these guys under any circumstances.
