K & R Tree Specialists K & R Tree Trimming & Removal This company quoted a price for tree removal and did NOT complete Springfield Ohio

An employee, Johnboy, came to my home on Saturday, May 12, 2018, quoted a price of $600 for two trees to be removed and trim other trees.  When they were almost done, I got them cash and started working in the garage as they finished up.  I turn around and they had disappeared.  I called the company immediately to see when they would be coming to finish.  Johnboy called me and said tomorrow between 9 and 10 am.  Time passed into the afternoon on Sunday May 13, I called and texted.  Johnboy finally called me back and said he forgot it was Mother's Day he would be back the next day.....days, texts, phone calls, no return.  I finally got a hold of the owner, Rusty Jenkins on Friday, 18 May, he said they don't remove tree stumps, even though that's what Johnboy said they would do.  UNLESS the stumps are in a flowerbed, and both are.  It took them until 22 May to come back out and luckily I was home when they were almost done.  Johnboy came back and removed the stump in the back, and we walked to the one in the front.  He said I don't have the right tool, I will be back.  I called and texted them both on Friday, 25 May, I have been blocked by Johnboy.  The owner finally texted me and said again, well that's not something our company does even though he said on Friday 18 May that as long as it's in a flowerbed they would do it.  Then he got disrespectful.  I believed they scammed me out of at least $300 of the $600 I paid.  I would never recommend them and I will do everything in my power to not let this happen again.  I filed a compliant with the BBB and the Ohio Attorney General.  I will look into small claims court next week.  This is unacceptable businss practice.
