I am filing this to report a telephone bill cramming scam that was attempted on my mother-in-law. She does not use a computer but I thought this was important to report to the consumer community since I can find very little about this company.
My Mother-in-law's August phone bill from Verizon contained a number of unauthorized charges from K. T. Communications. She attempted to call and talk to them about why these charges are incorrect, but each time she tried to explain the representative talked over top of her and reiterated the threats already detailed in K.T.C.s letters. The representative was unable to produce a recording of anyone authorizing these charges and would not give a name either.
K. T. Communications contends she owes $359.31 for 5 calls totalling 71 minutes. These 5 calls were supposedly made between 11:47 PM on August 5th and 12:24 AM on August 6th. The really laughable thing is that the last two calls overlapped each other for 20 minutes. One starts at 12:23 AM and lasts for 21 minutes and yet a minute later she supposedly placed a second call for another 21 minutes. It is good to know I can place two calls on the same phone at the same time. Who knew?
Please be aware of this new threat to hardworking Americans everywhere.

#1 UPDATE Employee
900 charges

Hello and thank you for the opportunity to reply. We only provide content for this while Verizon provides the billing. We can only show records that they have provided to us. Would it be stupid of a company to try to over bill someone in the manner you described. Yes it would. Is it possible for two legitimate calls to be placed at the same time. Yes. Occasionally callers do a three way call calling the 900 number twice. Or if they thought they hung up but only put the original call on hold then called in again. This too would result in two bills. There are other possible scenarios too, but I do not see the need to get into them here. I apologize if customer service did not handle your call to your satisfaction. But understand this. Some one from that phone number placed the call(s) and no one wants to admit it - or pay for it.
Thank you,
