I have been going to Deer Valley Kal Tire for several years and have been quite satisfied.

When I purchased my current vehicle, I alternated getting service between Deer Valley and the dealer; this helps to keep both "honest."

Eventually, when I began experiencing dissatisfaction with the dealer, I went to Deer Valley exclusively.

For major work on one occasion, I got quotes from 2 dealerships and Deer Valley. All were within $50 of each other, on an $850 job. For the convenience due to their location, I went back to Deer Valley.

We are writing this in the hopes that it will save others some time, money and disappointment.  We were in the need of a tire shop that could change our winter tires back to our summer tires (same rims) and being that Kal Tire had a good reputation in our eyes, we went to our nearest location:  Deer Valley Kal Tire.  They clearly label their invoices with "You'll like us for more than our Tires" .... NOT!  We brought the car in during the mid-morning and were told to pick it up 2:30ish.  We were expecting the bill to be no more than $130.00 tops.  When we picked up the vehicle we came face to face with the invoice total of $240.03 .... What?!  We were told because of the tire pressure valves there was an extra charge for component kits and sealant.  This is price gouging at it's best!  $172.00 for labor!

When we returned home I called around (which is what I should have done to begin with), and I am attaching a list of my findings, the costs include everything that Deer Valley Kal Tire did.  I also questioned each company about tire pressure valves and extra costs.  Note that if we had taken it to Costco the total cost would have only been $44.00 plus GST.  Shame on us for trusting Deer Valley Kal Tire.

We are totally unhappy customers and feel taken by Deer Valley Kal Tire.  We will highly recommend that our family and friends stay clear of Deer Valley Kal Tire and try one of the more reputable companies that do the same work for a fraction of the cost.  We are through with Deer Valley Kal Tire as expressed in a phone call to them today.  Their comment was "okay then".  No Thanks Deer Valley Rip-off Kal Tire for your undivided attention and understanding.  Perhaps you could share with the rest of us why we get more bang for our hard earned bucks with you.
