Kaplan Cosmetic Surgery Dr Barry Kaplan mini tummy tuck and neck and abdomen liposuction Altamonte Springs Florida

I went to Kaplan Cosmetic Surgery for a mini Tummy Tuck with abdominal liposuction and also liposuction to my neck.

At first visit things were OK and I arranged for the procedures to take place.  However when it came to the surgery another Chinese looking Doctor also appeared on scene.  I had never seen this guy before.  The surgery took place with Dr Kaplan doing half of the cutting and sewing and the other Dr doing half also. I was sent home with instructions and a couple of girdle things to wear. Which I dutifully did.  What happened thereafter is appalling.  One side is totally screwed up.  The stitches got gathered or somehow my skin looks puckered on the top side of the scar.  The scar shows very distinctly and the very middle has a large indentation.  On top of that the skin from my pubic area is pulled up into the scar so I have pubic hair in the scar itself. It seems like maybe they cut too much from the top and had to pull the skin from my pubic area to get it closed.  What's worse is that they failed to do any liposuction around the pubic area which now stands out looking distinctly deformed (my husband's words).  It protrudes when I try and wear stretch gym clothing  and is noticeable.  This is 4 plus years later.  At the time I went back repeatedly pointed out the puckering and was given some sort of shot which stung like hell.  I was told it should dissolve the larger of the puckers and make it look flat. It didn't.  I went back several times complaining that things were not correct.  They tried to tell me everything was OK and would eventually be alright when it settled down.  I could see that it wouldn't.  I'm not that stupid.  Eventually the only thing they could suggest was for them to 'cut me again'. (To use Dr Kaplan's words) By this time I had lost all faith in them.  So right now I'm living with this disfigurement which cost over $7000.00.  I don't take my clothes off in front of my husband and I don't wear the little bikinis that I was meant to be able to.

At the same time as the above I had asked about getting some liposuction for a double chin. I specifically asked if it would be OK as I didn't want to end up with loose skin like a turkey.  I was assured it would be OK by Dr Kaplan.  Yet again it wasn't. I am now looking at paying a plastic surgeon for a neck lift because although my face still looks young, my neck makes me look 10 years older.

Don't let this guy cut you in any way shape or form!
