Dr. Barry Kaplan, Cosmetic Kaplan Cosmetic Surgury Center ripoff, He promised to remove sunspots on my neck, instead he burned my face & staff infection. I was admitted into the Hosp.for staff infection and then was transporded by ambulance to the Orl. Burn Hosp. I paid him $5,000. He also owed me money for botox, skin care & makeup. I rec. no refund back. Winter Park Florida

On Sept. 26,2005 Dr. Kaplan (not bourd certified) did a procedure called LL H2O. He gave me a valium and injected novacain into my mouth & face. He put a shield over my eyes.
When he got down my mouth, it started burning & I was experiencing much pain. I begged him to stop! He said NO, I'm not stopping until I'm finished. I blacked out. He put a mask over face & left my neck uncovered. I had a hole burned in my neck. He asked my friend to pick me up @the back door. I was still incohertient. When I made it to my house. My eyes and mouth were swollen shut.I told to drink ensure threw a straw.I couldn't, so they said to poor it down my mouth. Day 2, my face got worse and I was in savere pain. My husband called, begging the Dr.for stronger pain medicine. After calling every day, They finally called me in phenagan susp.50mg.(too much for any adult.
After inserting the med. I passed out and hit the floor. Day 3, we called again. My mask became a solid blood mask. My heart was beating in my face, & experieng more pain than ever!!!!!!!!!
Day 4, my eyes had bood bruises. My husband called again and they refused see me again. My husband rushed me to our reg. Dr.& they admitted me into the Hosp. At that time my life was @stake. Now I have $15,000. in medical bills that Ins. want pay, do to the word Cosmetic.. Please help me figure out how I can pay my medical bill. I'm still due:skincare product, makeup and botox treatment th he refuses refund my monie back.
Please help me.
He's had 6 lawsuits against him, but knowones been paid.
How can a Dr.:cut on people, doing tummy tucks, breast augentaions, and write prescription withot being board certified?
Help me..........I've also been very depress and had pantic attacks, and flashbacks.
I hope my writing this letter, will keep other people from being a victum.

Martha received CO2 laser resurfacing of her face for severe sun damage and wrinkling about 3-4 yrs. ago. Her report is totally fictitious. With just 10 minutes left of a 30 minute procedure, Martha asked for more Valium, not pain medication. She had been given anti-anxiety medication before the procedure and it would not have been appropriate to give more at this time. She was given full instructions as to the care of her face after the procedure and she was given pain medication. These patients must keep their dressing dry for 4 days and thus must drink their nourishment through a straw and cannot brush or floss-and everyone does this with no problem.
On the second day after the surgery, the patient's "husband" called and stated she needed more pain medication as her son had stolen hers from her purse. A likely story. We refused and subsequently checked with her family doctor who discharged her from his practice because of drug seeking when they found her with multiple bottles of pain killers.
Martha then went to the hospital complaining of the "burn" and not knowing what they were looking at, admitted her. There was no infection and in over 800 cases we have never had an infection. Martha has never presented any documentation or doctor's record of the events. Her report is totally without merit. She never returned to our office for follow up or discussion.
