Kaplan University gave me the run anround and charged me way more than they said it would be Davenport Iowa

I signed up for Kaplan at the end of June 2013. My start date was July 3rd 2013.I chose the medical assistant program. The financial part was addressed in the beginning which i thought sounded legit. I had all of my paperwork in on time for financial aid. Today is August 31st and i just recieved my "correct" as they said,financial aid award letter yestarday. It is way more than they quoted me for. The first award letter they gave me said i was an out of pocket pay student!

I had been calling everyday for the last two weeks asking about when it was going to be posted and every financial aid assistant told me something different. Most of them were very rude and inconciderent. As of now, my award letter is finished but i still have a bill. They specifically told me that i was recieving more aid than my term cost. I do not recieve a check for my self. They told me that i would get one because my classes would not exceed my funding. Now they are telling me something different and i can not get anyone to give me a higher up name or number to conact.

I feel as if they are hiding information from me. One assistant will tell me something completely different from another. First they say i will recieve enough and now i owe a bill. I think this college is just a money hungry education program who does not care about the students. They only care about how much money they can scam.

Now that i have been enrolled for 10 weeks, If i was to back out now, i would have a big fee to pay and financial aid to pay back. I do not think that is fair because if i knew it was going to be like this in the beginning, i would not have furthered my education their! I would have got out while i was still in the clear. I would never recommend this school to anyone. I think this is one of the most fakest colleges around and it is truley a shame that this college takes education for granted!!
