This guy charged me a significant deposit - $2,000 - to animate a short film for me and all he delivered was a few drawings.

Karriem Muhammad, AKA Karriem Loves, sbox123@mail.com of Speakerhead.com presents himself as a reputable guy. He has a professional looking website and he prepared an initial drawing  of the major character in my film that was outstanding.

However, that was all he did. He didn't deliver on his agreement to produce the animation.

His initial rendition of the major character in my film and a couple of backgrounds that he subsequently produced were hardly worth the price of my deposit. 

After stringing me along for a long period of time, he finally told be that he was incapable of producing the animation because the job was too big/ complicated for him.

I then asked him to return my depostit.  He refused, stating that he had done more work than the value of the deposit and had paid others to help him with the backgrounds.

I asked him for all of the work he had done, and had allegedly paid to have done so far. No respnse - except to say:

... unfortunately my landlord wants to evict me on Monday (See attachment) for past due rent. If you can help me pay that off. So this is what I can offer: Not only will I show you the ropes with the animation. But I can help you through the whole process of setting up a team to produce an animated YouTube series. In addition I can do the marketing to get us hundred of thousands of views. We can set up an deal with an agency that can get us between 6 to 8cents per view. So if we can do this thing right it could probably equal to $100k + in revenue over the next your. I know the formula and I've talked directly to agencies and that's what they told me. So those are actually real life projections. And I already know a few YouTubers who are getting five to six figures monthly already. So I can walk you through the whole process...

This smelled like another rip off attempt.
