posted to Kommando.com I listen to your show on a regular basis as I’m available and have for several years. I have tried several of the products that you have recommended and found them to be satisfactory. Such is not the case with Kaspersky Total Security. I recently did a clean install of my OS to solve a BSOD issue, and after following the recommended procedures from Microsoft and Dell, attempted to reinstall Kaspersky using an existing and paid for key. Program didn’t work, and then the Kaspersky nightmare begins in that the only way to make contact with them is through "chat”. The first contact left me waiting for a chat representative for approximately 45 minutes, and then the representative remoted into my computer and attempted without success to do what I had been unable to do, and after approximately 20 minutes disconnected the "chat”. I then reestablished chat with them and waited another one and one-half hours before being assisted. Long story short, the software did not work and my impression of the company was that they had no interest in "protection”. In 14 subsequent emails, the communication has degraded to the point that I no longer wish to put up with their gratuitous ineptitude and recalcitrant attitude. The take away from this with these folks is that they don’t have any interest in "having my back” and their return/refund procedure is so convoluted that it is a waste of my time to pursue that. It is my opinion that these folks have no interest in doing anything other than making money for software that may or may not work. In reading the return policy that they emailed me, it was obvious to me that I probably wouldn’t live long enough to actually receive remuneration for program that doesn’t work.
