So yes, I think it can be very intrusive the amount of info collected and especially what can be done with it. The turner you mention is probably well intentioned. In Southern states we have an influx of african immigrants. They are often encouraged to harass native born Americans especially nonwhites. I bet there's a hot market in identity theft, and I rather they be a bit discriminatory as a preventive measure.
