Hmmm, What can we say about Kathy Van Gogh from Fakeit.ca
She scammed my friend...Still owes her money from her scam that she plays on craigslist.org. My friend rented a condo which was supposed to be the cats meow (it was nothing to speak of just a stupid one bedroom condo)My friend gives this women $3000.00 which apparently youcannot charge that upfront you can only ask for 1/2months depsoit but anyways my friend pays her this money into the womens bank account and she is in the "condo" for 2 nights and this scargy women kicks her out. She actually had the nerve to throw my friends things into her bags. Oh did I mention she brought someone with her to intimidate my friend.

Here is my friend in a different province not knowing anyone and this scam artist and her associate kick her out.

My friend goes to the hotel and calls the police who tell her its illegal and that the women had no right to enter the premises.My friend has been trying to get her money back from this women for weeks to no avail. So all of us in toronto are going to report her until she gives her her money back plus all expenses that were incurred as a result of this scam artist!

Give the money back Kathy we Torontonians dont take crap like this lightley!!!Do not do business with FAKEIT.Ca

All of these reports, as well as those under my company name "Fake It' are the work of Michele Detering.

I agreed to rent my very high end custom finished condo to this woman at $1200 per month for 6 weeks. THe agreement also stated that half the rent was due in advance and was non-refundable. That amount is $1500. That is what i asked her to forward in advance to book the condo. She decided to pay all of it advance which is $3000.

THe written agreement states very clearly that no smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

Yes, i picked her up from the airport, yes I drove her to the condo, yes I drove her to the grocery store, 11 blocks away, because she did not want to go to the elite organic grocery store 3 blocks away.

I discussed the no smoking policy with her in an email and again in person. I feel very strongly about this as the smell permeates everything and would devalue my property.

She swore she did not smoke, she even put it in writing that she did not smoke.

On the second day of her stay, she was caught smoking on the couch with a bottle of Febreeze. The entire condo reeked of cigarette smoke.

I have pictures and witnesses to prove all of this.

I reserved a SMOKING hotel room for her a few blocks away and told her that she would have to leave the condo immediately. SHe agreed. I helped her pack her bags at her request and I drove her to the hotel.

I refunded $1800 to her. She agreed it was reasonable that I should keep one month's rent as i would now have to incur losses due to her lie.

According to our contract, i was only obligated to refund her $1500, but i felt that one month's rent was fair, so i exceeded that amount.

Her smoking was a material breech of our contract.

Make your own decision:
If i were merely trying to scam people, why then would i have bothered to pick her up at the airport and take her to the condo? She already admits that i had all $3000 of her money in advance. Why would i bother picking her up at the airport, driving her to the condo and then asking her to leave two days later and driving her to a hotel?

It is obvious that this is just a disgruntled tennant that will not accept responsibility for her own actions.
