Kauffman's Wedding World ripoff & liars Anyone who purchases from any Kauffman's Wedding World chain is looking to get screwed. Allentown Pennsylvania

I just recently have gotten married (May 8, 2004--to be exact) and the funniest thing happened. My bridesmaid dress that I ordered back in December (13th), never came.

We were told it would 2-3 months to get this dress in from the manufacturer. Well, 4 months after we ordered and paid for 1/2 of it, the sales clerks & the managers (from the store where we ordered it) told me that I was lied to an they were going through with new management and that it actually takes about 4-6 months to ship and recieve these dresses.

But I also ordered my flower girl's dress from them and when they called for us to go pick it up--- IT WAS A DRESS SHE HAD NEVER EVEN SEEN OR TRIED ON.

After the last episode, I decided that it was time to go in and raise a ruckus. I was in the store complaining, asking for a number where/how I could reach the corporate office(s). I was told that this information was not available to give out. That evening at the store I raised enough of a ruckus that theyu actually called the owner of they 21-chain store IRA KAUFFMAN.

Now let me ask, if you don't have a number that you can give to upset customers so that they can contact the corporate office-- how did they reach Mr. Kauffman? I spoke with him while at the store and he promised that the "situation" would be fixed by the end of the next week. Well, he did get me the right flower girl dress but the seamstress had to fix the whole bottom because it was crooked from corner to corner.

Then he called me at home and promised the bridesmaid dress by the end of the (Current) week-- he never called me back, I guess that is because the dress still wasn't in.

2 weeks before my wedding, when I called the shop to find a tracking number and status for the dress, they told me that they would refund our deposit bacuase the manufacturer said that I was too demanding and that they did not feel confident in providing me with the dress in the time I required.

Now how does that work? I orderd back in December (13) of 2003 and they couldn't provide it in the time I required-- then why let me pick it and order it?

In the end,I went down to David's Bridal (with the refunded money from Kuaffman's), and they took wonderful care of us, and helped to find a dress for my bridesmaid.

All in all, anyone who purchases from any Kauffman's Wedding World chain is looking to get screwed. My advice would be to not even use that for an option when looking for a good dress.

David's Bridal takes better care in their customers and the business.
