I purchased Kazaa plus in January 2006 and have never been able to get it up and running. When I try to license it, I get the following error message:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in
/var/www/_includes/kazaaplus/classes/EN/transaction.class on line 720
I had been having a (frustrating) dialogue with customer support over a few months (repeatedly sending me generic database-generated replies which did not address my situation, sending me the same emails over and over even though I had responded that the suggestion didn't work) when they just stopped responding to my emails. Further enquiries on my part have not been answered. I even tried contacting their media rep, and getting someone through their business contact form on their website. Nothing. I just want to either get the product working, or get a refund.

While I understand your wish to do without the ads, Kazaa Plus was not the way to go. Kazaa in itself caused me numerous headaches with all of the adware and spyware it downloaded on my computer in addition to the pop ups. I wasn't about to give them money for the privilidge.
My son's girlfriend told me about another peer to peer site. I get no spyware and no adware from this site. I occasionally get something attached to a file I download from an individual, but nothing my anti-virus or anti-spyware programs don't pick up and delete. It is free. I also get more sources and faster downloads than I ever did with Kazaa, even using an accelerator.
Hope this helps you out. I would contact my credit card company and get a refund of the money you paid for Kazaa Plus. Also, Shareaza has a great help function. You don't get live, but I was able to reconfigure my firewall to accept the connection with a minimum of fuss using the online help feature.
This is significant because I am not a "computer geek". My son is and I didn't have to call him.
