Kelly Cardin, His wife, and bother-in-law: Jeremy strong have set up several different corporations in Sarasota, FL, and Ft. Myers, Naples FL. They general set up as Kitchen and Bath remodeling companies, but one of their companies was listed as a plumbing company. They take the standard 50% down, do a portion of the work, such as tear out and rough-in electrical (all requiring multiple phone calls after no-shows) and then do not complete the work nor pay the subs
In Florida, the subs can then then place leins against the property and the homeowner then has to pay twice.
In my case, they barely completed roughing in a $30,000.00 job, when Kelly Cardin was arrested for multiple counts of fraud and drug sales, gun sales, etc (I guess that is where everyones' money went to. The company folded without paying staff, subcontractors, suppliers, etc, and I am fighting leins on my home and losing, and I still have an unfinished kitchen and am out of money an out of luck.
This was written up in our local papers several time (too late) and found that it was done by this pair and several other principles in several cities in florida.
I tried to place leins on their personal property worth millions to recoup my outlay, but was unsuccessful behind all the "big guys" ahead of me.
Now I am looking for subcontractors to finish the work but it cannot be permitted!!!
Watch out for these guys, they have also been reputed to have done business in Mississippi.

The report by "JULIE" couldn't be further from the truth. I understand the anger and frustration on the part of any customer that could not get the work completed. Many, and I do mean many fine people worked very hard to complete any and all contracts. There was never multiple businesses. Never any guns. Never anything at all in Mississippi. There was a store front leased in Naples that was never occupied due to the circumstances. It was more important to honor contracts than to open that showroom. Kirkplan was a franchise. As are many restaurants and hotels. The Kirkplan in Sarasota was not the same Kirkplan as in Fort Myers. The plumbing business in Sarasota was sold to buy the Kirkplan franchise in Fort Myers. The two had nothing at all to do with each other. Ever. Jeremy Strong was merely an employee. Never did he have anything to do with day to day operations. His reputation certainly should not be brought down by such reckless comments. He is a talented, honest man. There were many talented, hard working cabinet people that worked for FREE at the end to make the customers happy. The rumors and bad press were indeed spread by competition. I guess you could call it kicking a hurt dog. There was no problem that couldn't be overcome. Except for bad press. I have seen Brandy's kitchen and it is indeed special. I would hope she would post pictures of her top notch cooking area.To all of the fine people that did stick it out untill the end. Thank you.

First of all I am a customer of this company.. and actually am appalled by this Jullie person. I had a kitchen done, and can post the picturesand the great work. Jeremy was my designer and all was perfect. I just bought a new home and typed his name in to try and find him to do my next kitchen. Jeremy I loved my kitchen and the work. I hope this person get the slander that she threw out there with a law suit. I know i would sue her if i was any one from this company.

Actually if not true it would be libel, slander are words falsely spoken that damage the reputation of another , libel is a false and malicious publication printed for the purpose of defaming a person.

I owned Kirkplan Kitchen & Bath from May of 2000 to December of 2004 my company was voted the # 1 kitchen and bath remodeling company by the news press readers in 2002 and 2003 untill September of 2004 my company didnt have any complaints with the BBB that wasnt 100% satisfied.
In this time Kirkplan Kitchens has installed hundreds of kitchens in the Lee and Collier counties. When Hurricaine Charley came through it crippled my business I did everything possible to keep the doors open my wife and I took a 2nd mortgage on our house, got a loan in the amount of 125,000.00, we ran everyone of our credit cards through my terminal,emptied our personel accounts as well as our daughter's , unfortunately it wasnt enough At no time was it my intention for anyone of my customers to lose money with me. I had $500,000 in my accounts receiveable and not one of my customers would pay since the company was going out of business those consumers who owed Kirkplan money for completed work.
I was arrested for a DUI and poss. of Zanex w/o a subsciption a competitor took this info to the News Press and an article was written in regards to my company which left me with no alternative but to close my doors. With that kind of advertising no one would do business with me and again people that owed money didnt think they had to pay anymore as soon as the newspaper article came out customers who paid with credit cards proceeded to do charge backs at that time mastercard/visa immediately withdrew the funds from my account leaving my company crippled.
At no time was I ever arrested for multible counts of fraud and drug sales, gun sales etc.
At no time have I ever had personel property worth millions.
At no time have I ever had a business in Mississippi or ever worked there.
At no time has JEREMY STRONG ever been a principal in my company he was no more than an employee. (1 of 30)
