I contacted Kelly with a genuine business opportunity. His company then sent an email back with this....

Hi,

Sorry, RJ can't respond to any of the many JV offers and business proposals sent in - not enough time in his 1 hour workday.

To separate the serious from the curious, RJ requests a consideration fee for his time to take a good look at it and this shows that; a). You believe your proposal will make a large enough profit that the fee is not an issue for you. And b). You have thought about, prepared and are able to provide actual details about your offer; enough to present to someone of RJ's caliber to seriously consider it.

RJ doesn't need the money but the fee shows you are coming with your pitch ready and are motivated to partner with the best for achieving the best possible results. He likes that - it's gets his attention and of course the time to look over your proposal in a favorable frame of mind.

You should check out:
http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?q=&url=www.therichjerk.com
For a good estimate of the number of visitors to just ONE RJ site. Now check what he did with his recent program release: www.xraydomination.com - Top 1000! This much traffic, plus a website/offer with a good conversion rate = Big Money! Anyone else offering REAL proof like that?

See his message below on this Consideration fee, written in his own unique style.

Thanks,
Wayne

Rich Jerk here.

I receive a TON of JV (joint venture) offers every day.

Most SUCK, and make me waste precious time reading their proposals. Im DONE with that.

I pick and choose my JVs very closely. I dont w***e myself out to every offer that comes along, like most lame-a*s marketers do.

My subscribers expect interesting, legitimate, and beneficial offers that coincide with what I already give them. Not the same crap everybody already gets in their inbox every day. That is why my list is probably one of the most responsive (if not # 1) lists in the world. They know if something comes from me, it's d**n good.

So I've developed a new process for accepting JV offers.

If you want me to even READ your proposal, you need to send me $1,000 up front.

If you know your offer is good, and that my list is a good fit, you should have no problem doing this. If you do have a problem, then your offer is obviously a piece of sh*t, and there is no point in me even knowing about it.

If you are ready to get serious, go ahead and contact my staff for an address to send your check to. Once I read your JV offer, Ill contact you personally and let you know if I'm willing to do the deal on a CPA (cost-per-acquisition) basis, or if I'm going to require additional funds up front before I send your offer.

My list will NEVER be saturated with bullsh*t. I have no interest in doing a mailing unless I will make a minimum of $50k, either paid up front, or in some cases, as a CPA.

Since you contacted me, you already know my list kicks a*s. You probably saw what I did with Stompernet, helping them to a $20 Million Dollar product launch. I broke every launch day traffic record that ever existed. If you saw how well the recent Xray Domination launch went, you already know no one can do this like I can.

If you want that kind of response for your project, then put your money where your mouth is.

RJ

Sincerely,

The Rich Jerk

I stupidly then sent my money via check from the UK and waited for a response. FOUR weeks later he said he wasn't interested, no reason, no explanation.

I then asked for my money back or some sort of refund and he said no, 'as explained in the offer, it is non-refundable'

Where did it say this?

Kelly offered no apology, no explanation, no refund. This is an utter joke.

#3 Consumer Suggestion

High Expectations

AUTHOR: Corp - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, November 11, 2010

I read all the comments and the complaint.

It is clear that you at least expected to get a kiss, first.

However, I don't see in here anywhere as to the complaintant
buying any consultation time, nor do I see where a critique of
the proposal was offered.

It seems by the responses here that all anyone sees is that
Mr. Felix said, if you sent him a check he would look at it.

That doesn't seem to "imply" he will constructively critique
nor consult on how to make the offer better, more marketable...
I don't see where any "coaching" was hired for either.

That being said, I do think this makes a good point for Mr. Felix
or anyone doing any similar "review for hire."

In all fairness, 4 weeks is a long time to await a response and
heightened expectations.

And, for his $1,000 I think Mr. Felix or anyone else should have
made some comment, whether that is a short note, a one or two
minute video...anything that would have shown some familiarity as proof
that the review actually took place for the $1,000.

Without any comment whatever, some could reasonably suspect that
a person may have cashed the check and didn't even look at the proposal.

So, just to protect ones reputation...I think $1,000 should, in fairness,
buy at least the courtesy of a comment of some type and, perhaps,
a suggestion--any suggestion--that at least shows he got the consideration
he paid for.  It's really not enough to just say "no" and go away.  Even if
the proposal was a complete mess, you could say "this is just not focused
enough and needs to be reworked" or something, anything just for decency
and professionalism.

The benefit of that would have been no frustrated post here.

It isn't a Scam.

POSTED: Wednesday, September 03, 2008

First of all.

Kelly Felix didn't scam you. He CLEARLY stated that he charges to READ your offer. Not accept it.

After READING the offer (in which you are charged for him to do so), then he decides whether to accept.

And if he does accept. Get ready to cough up at least 50k. I know what your thinking. "wow this guy is a scammer if he asks for 50K upfront"... The reason he charges 50K is because his time to him is very valuable and he wants to be insured that your idea won't lose him money. This guy is a millionare. Think about it, thousands of people want to partner with him. And the reason why he asks 1k to read it, is not because of money, it's because he wants to avoid low quality offers and poor business plans.

He also CLEARLY, states that he denies "99% of offers because he has too many things on his hands"

He denies even GOOD ones because in the long run he will lose money because you can't do a millions things at once.

I know someone that did get a Joint Venture with him so he isn't scamming anyone as far as I'm concerned.

Conclusion? Nobody forced you to send Felix 1k. Nobody, but yourself. And you even knew that NO REFUND was offered. It was clear. "NO REFUND". There was also no guarantee that your offer will be accepted. It was simply to get him to Read your offer and decided whether to accept. NOT "to accept"...Only DECIDE after reading.

Will I ever pay him 1K? No because I'm not in his particuluar niche or market and I'm pretty sure he will deny since we don't have anything in common in business and neither parties will benefit. So don't get the idea I'm taking his side. I do agree that he should perhaps warn people that he will likely not accept in a certian period of time b/c of too many things.

Thus, Kelly didn't "scam" you. You scammed yourself into believing he would do business with you just like that. 1,2,3. Your fault and your problem. Nobody is to blame but YOU.

Case closed. Issue resolved. No unethical business has been conducted by Kelly Felix.

It sounds like you were looking to strike a deal with him so you can leach your way into high society. Maybe you should try earning your own money instead of trying to get a big timer to do it all for you.
