Kent Wood is also mentioned with the same scam with a Comcast address, a Truheat address and others. The letter is similar with different agents. This one is a Teresa Robinson at 450 369 0295. I checked with the bank on the check and they advised that it is a scam. The jist of it is, they send you a check for $3988.95 which is part payment for a $57,000 winning. Teresa said to call back after depositing the check to find out the handling fees, etc.. I'm guessing that after I deposit the check they will ask for a check from me for a portion of the winnings. Of course the deposit will have been voided because the check was no good, but my check would still clear my account.
Also, it should be noted that the postmark on the envelope is from Canada. It is too bad that slime balls like these can't be prosecuted but I suppose that being in Canada complicates things. I'm glad I checked them out.
