 Hello, LANDLORD. I have copies of the emails that were sent to you back when Kevin was first found renting your home. You had the basement listed for rent and we tracked you down and reported Kevin to you! Had you helped us contact him, helped us serve him legal papers as asked, (on behalf of the over 27 victims who have come forward) or had you evicted him you would not likely off had these hassles. You loved his Cash rent. That Rent came from the dozens of victims. His next land lord (Ron), rented Kevin an apartment not far away after he had to go into hiding, Ron also got screwed and had also been warned. Sympathy ZERO, sorry.

Thanks Nosy Neighbour !! perhaps you should have contacted me regarding my tenant and all of these problems in the neighbourhood and I would have evicted them years ago. Now i am being victimized by kevins "victims" and having my home targeted and vandelized.

Please remove the address of my home. The McDermot's no longer reside at the address posted and I am now being victimized by Kevins "victims." Someone put a huge rock through my window at 2am and scared the hell out of my family and has caused me hardship as the window will most likely cost me $ 2000 or more to replace.

Like so many others, my family and extended family have been scammed and ripped off by Kevin.

His most recent method has taken this to a very sick and twisted level by using the business name M.Govan or M-Govan. 

This is very disturbing as he has purposely chosen to use the first initial and last name of his step-son (unfortunately this is not illegal to do). This has allowed Kevin to deceive and manipulate a child/minor no differently than what he has achieved with us as adults. 

As victims, all of us believed in Kevin no differently than his step-son or his own biological children. Kevin is a master con artist who has fooled all those affected.

Even though my family and extended family have been conned, manipulated and deceived I must remind myself of how simple it would be to do this to a child/minor.

I have no doubt the children are victims, no differently than all of us financially affected. 

We as victims MUST focus on bringing Kevin to justice while at the same time having compassion for each other as victims, which includes the children who are victims emotionally, mentally and physically.

Choosing not to makes the victim no better than the Kevin.

To Everyone Out There Who Needs to Serve Kevin papers.  Both my husband and myself went first to Surrey Pretrials yesterday, September 22nd but they didn't have record of him yet so referred us to the RCMP, then the RCMP referred us to the Court House who confirmed that Kevin was in custody.  The sheriff advised us that in order for us serve Kevin with papers Kevin himself would have to agree to see us.  Basically would be a waste of time because guaranteed he's not going to be willing to see us so that we can serve him papers.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated in how we can get our papers to him.

Kevin was arrested having dinner with his wife at 6951 - 179A in Surrey which is his wifes rental house.  They still claim to be seperated but we know this is a SCAM to avoid people that are looking for him.

Time to step up the awareness campaign.  Feel free to contact his wife ROBIN MCDERMOTT if you want to keep up to date on Kevin,  don't let her lie to you. 

The lastest info also reveals that Kevin is getting cheques payable to his son M. GOVAN so he is villingly involving his children in these scams!

Robin Mcdermott is also a liar.   Robin I would love for you to explain what you actually thought KEVIN was doing to earn the money to pay your rent on the multiple houses you have rented and ran from in the last couple of years.  How about the vehicles he bought, stole and sold.  How many people have knocked on your door looking for him...hmmm... just a coincidence?

You were present for many of the scams,  you KNEW what he was up to correct?   You were involved when he the trail of thieving began,  on one of your house building / mortgage scams.

How about the F150 you facilitated the transfering of paperwork for?  Had a nice laugh and wave as you drove away from the victims from what I heard.

Just remember Robin,  knowing about Kevins crimes and spending the proceeds is the same thing... plus we all know that KEVIN is not smart enough to pull it off alone...   So....  You may be hurting and stupid to have married Kevin in the first place,  but your obviously not completely stupid. I mean your smart enough to have become a teachers aid,  (err....but not quite a teacher ROFL).  Should have used some of your stolen funds to pay for the full program!

UNFORTUNATELY... things will only get worse, not better for the Mcdermotts as the court cases pile up on you,  I understand that you were just named in a civil suit as well..so stay tuned for some paperwork.

• He no longer works at the Hotel, fired for ripping off his Boss using the import vehicle deposit scam that we know he loves to use.  This work was done under the name EVAN MCARTHY.   He worked at the hotel for 4 months,  primarily trading a free room for some work.  This eventually led to him gaining the confidence of the victim who he then took advantage off.  He also ripped off an employee there for $9000 with the "deposit for a vehicle scam". 
• He lives in a rental unit now, not with his wife.
• Kevin has ripped of a man from Kelowna for a boat.  This man is proceeding with legal action.

If everyone pulls together we can put this scammer away for good.  Kevin now has the light shining on him more than ever before, and it's not going away.  He has harmed too many people.

Kevin is in Court for comitting fraud.

Kevin was in court today according to one of his victims.  They are trying to recover some money.

Kevin claimed to no longer be working at Quality inn - This is a confirmed Lie,  he was seen there within last 24 hours

Kevin claims vehicle (Orange avalanche) is not his:  Probably true and in someone elses name

Kevin Appears to be suffering badly according to reports,  perhaps he is now a drug addict (or always was?) or perhaps just the GUILT of stealing from people has caught up to him.

 Kevin has been found AGAIN.  Now working under the ALIAS "EVAN" at the Quality Inn in Langley,  in the Home Depot Parking Lot off 200th and 64th Ave.

He is driving a relatively new CHEVROLET AVALANCHE in that burnt orange colour.

Good luck catching this contractor thief, scab!   Anyone that knows how he manages to work at a legit place under an assumed name REPORT HIM!

Glad he is no longer in my area.  He separated from his wife, but that might be fake as well.

Kevin may have changed his name.  He may be working as the general manager of the Quality Inn hotel in Langley in the Home Depot parking lot using the alias Evan McCarthy.

Apparently Kevin hid out at his dead mother's place because his address was posted in December and people were looking for him.  What a snivelling coward he is.  What's the matter Kevin...can't take the heat?  Someone noted that his wife Robin is just as big a liar as he is and they doubt that she left him.

The phone number posted appears to be valid.  Do a reverse lookup and it comes up as "I McDermott from Langley".

Someone emailed us to say that he moved again, his wife left him, and that he's living at his mother's because she died (probably of shame because of Kevin).  His phone number is (604) 510-2196.

We can't confirm this new info so believe it at your own discretion, but we hope it's true that his wife left him.  That may mean that she's smarter than we give her credit for.  I hope his kids hate him too.

I am Kevin's Neighbour.  I would bet that the last post (Ex-employee) is fake and done by Kevin to try and mislead people that are looking for their money back.

I saw Kevin three times today.  He has not moved,  he still lives at the address posted.  I have seen 3-4 different people trying to contact him at his residence.  He hides out,  but if you look at his house from the back you can see him sitting there watching TV thinking up his next scam.  Amazing but apparently there are over 10? people looking for him now.

There is a neigbour across the street however that calls the police,  so do not make a scene.

Someone  handed out leaflets to our entire area which made me aware of the scumbag that lives on my street.
If it helps,  his wife works as a partial teacher (probably teaching kids to steal) at Latimer Road Elementary on the border of Langley/Cloverdale.

Kevin has moved again I was by today. Neighbors called police on me and I found out he is gone again. Any ideas?

BEWARE OF KEVIN MCDERMOTT. - FRAUD SCAM ARTIST CHEATING CONTRACTOR.

He will take your deposit for a job, do some small amounts of work, and then disappear without any materials ever showing up on jobsite. I have 7 other victims willing to back up these statements so If you are considering this contractor or are currently working for or with this contractor beware.

ALL TRADES people beware this contractor as well, he will not pay you which leaves you trying to collect from the poor home owner who already paid Kevin. He goes by several names, ONYX Contracting for example, Dave Hughes and other names.

Not much we can do to this guy because he plays the RCMP against his victims "Claiming that they threatened him" etc etc. The RCMP cannot get involved because it is a "contract" dispute not a theft. I have totalled up $100,000 between 7 victims now.

Kevin Mcdermott also goes by emns holdings, he ripped me of for over 40 thousand dollars and also my boss for 5 thousand dollars.  he was supposed to bring in vehicles from the states and also provided false document reports of the vehicles and played mind games.  Once he knew he was cuaght in a lie he called the police and got me charged for threating him and extorting him.  I had to pay additional for a lawyer and he never did show up to court.  He is known to move from house to house and also known to even rip off his own family.  It is unbelievable how this guy can sleep at night knowing what he is doing.  The police are in his favour and he knows that so will take advantage of it.
