Kevin Wessell-Bloomfield sold a new car with old tires. He is at Coad Chevrolet so they know the tires should be new. It's like they took this car on so many test-drives that the tires has a bit of wear and tear. It wasn't too much but it was enough when you think you are spending 20,000 on a car - which isn't much for some but it is much for me - you think the dealership would put new tires on the care. I complained and complained. But since they said a bought the car three months ago they would not do anything about it.
I was especially concerned because I asked the salesman if the tires were new and he said, "Yes." How could they be new if they were taken on so m any test drives? The odometer said 206 miles. So you know the car had been around the block a time or two. So, the tires weren't new. I want them to put new tires on (one just got a flat) or pay me to take the car in and have all of the tires changed. To compound the matter even further, I have moved to the West coast since buying the car. Help.

Hey, anybody is entitled to an opinion. Seems like a pretty far-fetched one, but an opinion nonetheless.

USED TIRES?

If I owned that dealership and you'd bought that car from me and started whining about 250 mile "used" tires, I'd get my biggest mechanic and a baseball bat and can guarantee you'd never come back. You sound like the guy who calls himself Mr H that posts horse pucky here. Get a life, loser.

So, the tires have 206 miles on them -- basically brand new. You want new ones? Just so you know, tires generally last around 40,000 miles. Unless someone was doing burnouts in the parking lot, the tires should have pretty much all of their tread on them. In any case, this issue should have been brought up before you bought the car, not after.
Also, you don't get flats because the tires are old, you get flats because you run over nails and screws and other trash. Don't run over trash, and drive in the middle of the lane, and you will almost never get flats.
