Well, where should I begin? I will begin with the beginging of work for K&G Distributing. It all start on a nice summer day, I answered an ad in the newspaper and attend an interview. I had to wait about 3 hour after the interview to see if I was hired.

Three hours pass and I get a call from the lady who it viewed me to tell me that I have been hired. I get all excited because I will be make $2,000 per month plus trips and bonus.

I attend training, which I didn't get paid for and told I was. I started my week on monday and rode with a guy who smoked pot (marijuwana) the whole time. Very high presure.

Now lets get to the chase, after working seven days straight and selling 3 units, I should have made $450. However they supposidlly got return, so what did I do, I had all three of there phone numbers, I called them and eversingle peson said that the did.... NOT return the machine and they were very happy. They were and sold for 'good' deals paid with CASH.

So I went back to my boss and he told me it was a miss understanding, it was that the checks didn't clear, but they paid CASH and he said that I cant get paid for one week because the deposit has to go through still.

Thats where it all started, just to let you know that the update on the above ordeal, I got $25.00 buck-a-roos for alittle over 70 hours of work. It didnt stop there, the following week I sold 7 deals, no remorses because I make calls back after the three day remorse period. I got a check for $75.00.

By the end of the month I paid out $450 in gas to clean other peoples carpets. I made $400.00 for the month after working about 30 straight days, no joke and selling over 15 machines. Im in the hole 50 bucks.

Long story short, the only thing you get for working at kirby anywhere except in miliwalkee, wi is a free trip. The only good kirby distributors is in Milwalkee, WI. This company pays right. However you will have to work for it, but at least you still make 4 figs a week for your hard work.

As a recap, Since working for the kirby of mchenry county, I am in the process of claiming bankruptcy. for 6 months I made no mor than 2 thousand dollars total.

My name is Tom Anderson and I have been involved with the kirby company for nearly five years. Last year I worked for the Crystal Lake Kirby company that you are referring to in you complaint. I found K & G to be a very reputable company. Everything that they promised me i received and i actually had my best quarter in 5 years of being in the company. This lead me to be able to put a down payment on my first home. The only reason i left the company was because my house was closer to another office. Mr. Kondos company has many employees that have been dedicated to him for more than 5 years. As you may know he has produced some of the top dealers in his region.

In my career i have noticed that the people who complain the most are the ones that don't work, or only worked for the company for a few days then decided it was not for them. So, before you take any complaint to heart, please first see who is complaining.

Thank you for your time.

HEY NICKKKKYYYY (of K&G) Ever heard of the Illinois Transient Merchant law ?
READ THIS, ENJOY YOUR NEXT VACATION. lololol
Kirby Salesman Swept Up in Crackdown
February 20, 2004
A Kirby vacuum cleaner salesman was arrested and charged with financial exploitation of an elderly person, theft by deception, harassment through electronic communications, and violation of the Transient Merchant Act in Canton, Ill.

Thomas Schierer, 37, of East Peoria, obtained money and a vacuum cleaner from a Canton couple in exchange for a Kirby vacuum cleaner he falsely represented to be "new."

Schierer appeared in court Feb. 10, and bond was set at $25,000. He posted bond. His next court date is at 2 p.m. March 24 for a preliminary hearing.

Following an investigation by the Canton Police Department, Assistant State's Attorney William Loeffel obtained a warrant for violation of the Transient Merchant Act, a class B misdemeanor. The information alleges Schierer conducted business as a transient merchant, selling Kirby "vacuum cleaners and cleaning services ... without first obtaining a license from the City of Canton."

On Feb. 5, felony charges were filed alleging financial exploitation of an elderly person, a class 3 felony; and theft by deception, also a class 3 felony. In addition, a charge was filed of harassment through electronic communications, a class B misdemeanor.

Loeffel also wrote the Consumer Fraud Division of the Illinois Attorney General's Office on Dec. 19, requesting that "Schierer's Sweeper's" and "Carpet Cleaning for Seniors" be enjoined from advertising, soliciting or doing business with senior citizens in Fulton County. The Attorney General's Office is currently investigating alleged similar conduct on the part of Schierer in Woodford County and the Peoria area.

The investigation is being conducted in conjunction with state and local agencies in Fulton, Woodford, Tazewell and Peoria counties, with assistance from Senior Strength/Center for Prevention of Abuse in Peoria.

Fulton County incidents in Ipava, Dunfermline and Lewistown, as well as Canton are currently being reviewed. Loeffel cautions local residents not to do business with transient merchants who do not have a license to sell door to door.
