Car Pros salesman Aaron and salesmanger Mike gauranteed that there was nothing wrong with the used 2003 SUV that I was about to purchase and ensured me that I could take the truck to a mechanic and if I was not satisfied I could return the truck. So I bought the SUV. Come to find out there are some serious issues with the SUV's rear air bag suspension and shocks.. I tried taking the SUV back and the sales peoples laughed at me. I was so mad that I contacted the owner Ken Phillips who didn't want to waste his time that he pushed me off to Brad who turned around and pushed me off to Bob in the service department. Car Pros had made 3 attempts to repair the issues however Bob admittted that since they don't work on anything but Kia's that they have repaired the SUV to the best of their ability after they made the decision to reroute the brake lines and put on used shocks. The SUV bounces down the road so much that it will make any rider sick to their stomach and when you go over a bump you hear and feel metal rubbing against metal. When addressed with Bob in Service all he had to say was they tried their best and that they do not want to see or hear from me again because I asked them to look at the SUV again or take it to a dealer that knows what is wrong. I have taken this SUV to a few dealerships that have quoted it will take about $4,000-$5,000 to repair the SUV. I highly suggest to not purchase any vehicles from this dealership unless you plan on putting thousands of dollars into repairs as soon as you drive it off the lot.

Unfortunatly..a verbal "guarantee" means nothing in most cases...

If there is no written warranty or guarantee..then a used vehicle is generally sold "as-is" meaning no expressed warranty or guarantee is implied. Trusting anyone's word from a car dealership is akin to trusting the devil..as many find out the hard way.
You don't mention what vehicle this is other then a "2003 SUV". So we can assume this is an expensive vehicle to repair..as a KIA would not cost $4,000-$5,000 for rear shocks. Most vehicles would be closer to $200.00- $300.00 tops for shocks.
Now the only advice I can give you..is DO NOT go to dealerships for repairs if not under warranty. They generally will charge anywhere from 2X..to 10X the amount a "mom and pop" auto repair shop would charge, so shop around... this may be the reason the place you purchased it from can not fix it properly or within a reasonable price range...the parts and tools needed may not even be available to them. It seems they tried to fix it..but failed to do so properly.
Of course if this "SUV" is a European vehicle such as a Mercedes, BMW, Land or Range Rover etc..expect to pay significantly more anywhere you go vs. an Asian or USA made vehicle. Just the nature of the beast when you buy any kind of "luxury" or "exotic" European vehicle instead of one better known for low maintenance costs, reliability and economy.
