My wife and I recieved a letter in the mail from Kids.com, stating that one of our children had been brought to their attention. My wife proceeded to call the number on the letter and set up an interview with a man named "Tony", to discuss the posibilities of our child becoming a model.

When I found out that my wife had set up an appointment, I asked her to call him back and find out how much it was going to cost for photos, becuase I didnt want to waste 2 hours going to an interview only to find out that it was going to cost us a bunch of money. When she called back, Tony stated that there would be no initial costs for us to pay. So we went to the interview.

We waited for about an hour and a half before we actually met with Tony, as there were two other couples with kids meeting before us.

When we finally met with him, he was a very fast talker, telling us that our kid had the right personality and was very cute and would have no problems with agencies being interested in our child. He then told us that we would need make a one time payment of $595 to get started and then take our child to get a head shot every 6 months.

When I told him that we could not make the payment right now, and would like to talk it over with my wife and then get back to him, he stated that there was nothing to think about and that thinking about it overnight would not change anything. He then asked if it were a money issue and that he could spead out the payments over the next three months, making a $250 payment right then.

We told him that we were not going to make a payment that day. That ended the inteview. I left feeling cheated out of 2 hours of my day that I could have used more wisely, because he had lied to us earlier on the phone, but glad that we had not given him any money.

I am sure that one of the couples in front of us had paid him off, and I feel terrible that they did, because they seemd like nice people and didnt look like they could have afforded it.

I am just writing this as a warning to others to beware of kids.com and hopefully you will not give these people your time or money!
