Kids.com Child modeling scam we were deceived too Ripoff Cherry Hill New Jersey

I received a letter from Kids.com that my child for modelling had been 'brought to their attention'. I called the office to inquire about how they obtained information on my child. In hindsight, I see how I was easily mislead into believing that my daughter was really being sought after for modeling assignments. After doing some minimal research on the company, I made an appointment to discuss this opportunity. My phone call was followed up with a meeting confirmation letter.

On May 17, 2007, we had an appointment with Kids.com in Cherry Hill, NJ. They said that my daughter has alot of potential and took great photos. We paid $595.00 and signed a contract for 5 years. We left several photos of our daughter as requested.

As agreed, we took our daughter to the recommended photographer for her photo shoot. The photographers' studio was very unprofessional and questionable. The resulting photos were also a big disappointment.

This led me to do additional research on the company. Apparently, my initial searches were limited as I discovered serious complaints and accusations on this company. We suspect that nothing will come of our contract and $595.00 investment.

On July 20, 2007, I sent, by certified mail, a letter to Alfred Bagwell, President requesting a refund. To date, I have had no response.

Our next step will be to file a lawsuit. We are seeking a refund of the $595.00 fee, costs for photos and traveling expenses, return of all my daughter's photos and personal information, and punitive damages.
