My story is just like everyone elses. We received a letter notifying us that Kids.com wanted to meet with us to discuss representing our son to modeling and advertising agencies. We went to the office in Cherry Hill, when my son was just 6mos old. We were shown all of the supposed work that other clients of Kids.com had done. My husband and I thought of the cost of college and how much this might help pay for college, so we signed a five year contract for $595. We met with a photographer immediately and within a month our sons photo was on the website. Everything at that time seemed okay. But when it came time for our son's first updated picture, when he was a year old, things started to go wrong. We could never get a hold of the photographer. Calling the Cherry Hill office was useless so we tried the home office. The home office never returned our calls or our letters. Then we found that all of the phone numbers had been disconnected and that the website no loner worked. We finally got a hold of the photographer and he told us about how kids.com wasn't paying him and that he heard they 'disappeared'. He also told us that other parents were considering a class action law suit. We are definately interested in suing the pants off of Kids.com, who in my opinion are low-done dirty thieves. Oh yeah, we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau...waste of time.
