Let me guess... you were given a card in the mall...right? You got excited... we did too! You received the double sided card to the "screening" and was told your kid had "it".
SORRY... IT'S A TOTAL RIP OFF! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
When you get to the "free" "screening" companies like JRP-John Robert Powers, Hollywood Group, Rad Kids, etc., are all there waiting to get your telephone number to scam you for thousands of dollars for pictures and classes.
The Kidz in Media website is very misleading. Yes, they don't charge the parents because the companies who go there to get your telephone number PAY THEM a percentage of what they scam from YOU!
It's very SAD there's companies who operate this way..oh, the "scout" who gave you the card...they're on commission too!
The malls don't even allow them in there! You should file a complaint with the mall you received the card in. They can help stop these scammers.
Also, post your experience on the Internet! Warn others!!!!!!!!

The report says "The Kidz in Media website is very misleading." without specifying the URL of the website itself. That is misleading in its own right. The website kidsinmedia.com is not related to that scam in any way shape or form (other than a similarity in name). Its useful blog and forum was taken down as a result of attacks launched because of that misidentification. Among those of us who frequented it, it is sorely missed.
