Kim Nguyen Hair Artists MY HAIR WAS FRIED AFTER SHE GAVE ME A PERM Garden Grove , California

I had my hair permed on 5-24-12 by Kim Nguyen at the Hair Artists Salon. She was supposed to give me a body perm but instead  fried my hair and is trying to brush it all under the rug.  When she did this, she didn't say a word and just sent me home with the instructions of not to wash my hair for 3 days. She hid the damage with some styling tricks. Every time I wash my hair or go out into humidity, my hair looks as if I stuck my finger into a light socket. The former salon owner, Martha, cares about the reputation of her salon and told Kim she needs to provide free conditiong appontments.

Had it not been for Martha, Kim would wipe her hands clear of all of this and simply continue to look the other way. The only thing that seems to matter to Kim is making money. When I come into the salon with my fried hair that 2 other professionals have told me will be damaged for 1 year, Kim is rude and uncaring. She forcefully conditions my hair but makes me leave the salon with dripping wet hair. When I ask her why she isn't blow drying  my hair, she replies, "Because that is the way it is."

The salon gave me a full refund but Kim cannot be fired I am told because she is an independent contractor. She is the most uncaring and unprofessional person I know. She had me buy $80 of conditioners, etc.because of the damage caused soley and 100% by her and  yet she refuses to reimburse me for them. I have also spent $150 on other correction/ deep conditioning products trying to restore the health to my hair.  Kim acts like after giving me 3  forced free condtioning appointments that is all she owes me despite my hair not having much improvement due to the degree of damage she caused.

Martha and 2 other ladies will nowbe taking care of my hair at their expense due to Kim's attitude.They start their treatments next week. Kim also  refuses now to cut the hair of my other family members who have come to her (for a cut only). They had nothing to do with this perm and  she rudely called them up telling them not to come to her anymore. Martha said, "Kim does not like to be reminded of her mistake and every time she sees you, she sees the mistake." What should I say?!

I am the one having to live with my hair like this for 1 year--and she could care less. She is the most uncaring person I know and she has a very wide mean streak in her. There is nothing professional about the way she acts. Do not ever have anything done to your hair by Kim-if she makes a mistake, she will not care and  will not do anything about it except rush you out of the door so other customers don't see her work.  Kim also dyes your hair too dark of a color so you  have to pay extra for hi-lighting in order not to look washed out.

She has her methods and look out when she makes a mistake-she will just walk away from it with a phoney smile and rude comments. She should not be allowed to work in any salon because she will cost them business. It is always easy to get an appt with her because she always has tons of openings (she only works 19 hours a week at most-many times much less) too.That should tell you something. She is a bad stylist with an attitude and a mean streak-stay away!
